In China, traditional power generation methods such as thermal power and coal power are mostly used. With the depletion of resources and the deterioration of the environment, as well as the maturation of renewable clean energy generation technologies such as solar energy and wind energy, renewable clean energy is gradually upgraded from auxiliary energy to dominant energy. However, renewable energy generation is discontinuous and unstable. It is difficult to ensure the stable output of electricity.
In December 2015, Dalian Institute of Chemicals of Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Shipping Heavy Industry Wind Sail Co., Ltd. jointly constructed the "Advanced Battery Technology Joint Research and Development Center" and cooperated in the research and development of advanced lead-carbon battery industrialization technology. At present, the key technical problems of sulfation of lead-carbon batteries have been solved, and lead-carbon power for photovoltaic energy storage system has been used. The cycle life of the battery has been increased to more than four times of that of the traditional lead-acid battery. The 12V/38Ah product has been trial-produced in batches on the production line. New materials and new product production technologies with independent intellectual property rights have been formed in the advanced energy storage lead-carbon battery.
On this basis, the Department of Energy Storage Technology Research, Dalian Institute of Chemicals, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has developed a number of new technologies and successfully developed lead-carbon long-life batteries, which provide a guarantee for the conversion of clean energy such as solar energy and wind energy into stable energy that can be used and exported.
